About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team in the Chatswood office five days a week. This is a hands-on role reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, offering exposure to senior leadership and the chance to contribute to process improvement and best-practice financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-end management of the accounts payable function
Processing high-volume supplier invoices accurately and on time
Managing payment runs and supplier reconciliations
Maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
Reviewing and improving AP processes and controls
Assisting with month-end close and reporting requirements
Ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards
Supporting audits and responding to AP-related queries
Support month end reconciliations to statement balances
Support stocktake reconciliations
Problem solving skills
Fleet management
About You
Proven experience in a Senior Accounts Payable or similar role
Solid attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Confident communicator with a proactive and skilled approach
Experience working closely with senior finance leadership (CFO or Finance Manager)
Accounting or finance qualifications
Experience with accounting systems (Xero or similar ERP highly regarded)
