About the Chance
Our client is a well-established engineering company based in Newcastle, delivering design and Fabricate FRP Products for industry. Due to continued growth, they're seeking a part time Assistant Accountant to join their finance team.

About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this part-time position suits someone who enjoys hands-on accounts work within a stable, close-knit team. You'll support day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and general bookkeeping.

Key Responsibilities
Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payment runs
Perform bank and account reconciliations
Assist with BAS preparation and lodgement support
Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries
Support payroll processing and superannuation compliance
Assist with month-end and year-end reporting




Provide general administrative support to the finance team

About You
Prior experience in a similar accounts/bookkeeping role, ideally within engineering or a project-based industry
Working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, or similar)
Robust attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication skills, comfortable working independently and within a small team
Available to work part time 5 days a week.
