Receptionist – Permanent Part Time

We are looking for a mature, friendly person, who only wants part time work, to join our reception team on specific days – Wednesdays and Thursdays 8.30am-5.30pm, Fridays 8.30am-4.00pm, (with 1 hour lunch break). Flexibility to cover other days if the other receptionist is sick or on leave is essential.

The receptionist is the first point of contact with both existing and potential clients, and as such you need to have a warm and welcoming personality, excellent phone manner and ease of communication with both adults and children. Previous reception experience is preferred but training will be given to the right candidate.

The Canberra Osteopathic & Wellbeing Centre is a busy, family orientated clinic, with 6 osteopaths, a naturopath and an acupuncturist. Our core values include working together in a team where there is mutual respect and consideration between practitioners and staff, where patients feel welcome and their needs are met respectfully and helpfully.

Our patients range from a few days old to elderly citizens.



We have a robust reputation for the treatment of infants and children, so reception can be a busy, sometimes noisy, place.

If you are the ideal candidate, you will:-
be available now and in a position to commit to a minimum of 12 months, preferably longer
be punctual, reliable, and well presented
have the flexibility to cover reception on additional days in the case of staff sickness or holidays
be interested in, and willing to learn about, the treatments we provide and the sorts of conditions we can help
be able to work in a busy workplace, both on your own and as part of a team
have excellent written and spoken English
have a friendly and easy communication style and an excellent telephone manner
be computer literate
have a positive attitude and meticulous attention to detail
