Network Engineer

Location: Sydney / Hybrid

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join a project-focused engagement supporting enterprise network design and delivery. This contract is ideal for a hands-on Engineer with strong networking, wireless, and SD-WAN experience.

Key Responsibilities
Engineer secure SD-WAN solutions using Cisco SD-WAN technologies, ensuring resilience, performance, and security policy alignment.
Design, implement, and support secure enterprise network solutions across LAN, WAN, wireless, data centre, and cloud settings.
Deploy and operate next-generation firewall platforms (Juniper), including policy design, NAT, VPNs, and segmentation.
Implement network segmentation and virtualisation using VRFs, virtual contexts, and VXLAN-EVPN.
Design and support IPSec and SSL VPN solutions for site-to-site, remote access, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
Work in alignment with Agile delivery practices (JIRA-based workflows)





Required Technical Skills
Strong experience with Cisco Routing and Switching
Cisco SD-WAN design and implementation
Cisco Wireless / WLC solutions
Solid exposure to Juniper Networks
Solid understanding of IP networking
Hands-on experience with DNAC (Cisco DNA Center)
Experience with VMware (vManage / network integration)

Nice to Have
Cloud networking exposure / cloud consumption understanding
Network automation experience (scripts, templates, or tooling)

Ability to work independently and deliver outcomes
Comfortable operating across design, review, and support phases
