About the role The successful applicant will be responsible for installation, splicing, testing and commissioning of fibre optic networks across a variety of environments including metropolitan infrastructure and remote regional projects.

Travel to regional WA will be required.

What you'll be doing
Performing installations, maintenance, and repairs on fibre optic cabling and equipment
Testing, troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues with fibre optic systems
Interpreting technical diagrams and schematics to guide your work
Collaborating with project managers and other technical teams to ensure successful project delivery
Maintaining accurate documentation and records of all work performed
Adhering to all safety protocols and industry regulations

What we're looking for
Proven experience as a fibre optic technician
Formal qualifications in telecommunications, electrical, or a related technical field
Proficiency in fibre optic splicing, termination, testing, and troubleshooting
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues
A commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail
Ability to work in both Perth metro and regional locations




Current Australian Driver’s Licence
Construction Industry White Card
Strong understanding of telecommunications installation standards

Highly Desirable
Experience working on NBN and/or Optus /Telstra networks
Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets
First Aid certification
Willingness to do On-Call works
