About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced
Electrical Engineer
to join a long-term, secure defence project.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a significant program of work, contributing to critical infrastructure within a highly structured and professional environment.
This is a permanent position supporting a project with an initial duration of at least two years, commencing around June, with strong potential for ongoing engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Provide end-to-end electrical engineering support across a major defence project
Assist with project delivery through to completion, ensuring key milestones and timelines are met
Collaborate closely with project stakeholders, engineers, and controls teams
Deliver technical input, engineering oversight, and on-site problem-solving support
Ensure compliance with Australian standards, defence requirements, and safety regulations
Support documentation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities
About You
Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering
Proven experience delivering projects within Australia
Demonstrated capability across:
Project delivery and completion
Engineering design and implementation
Controls and related systems
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a secure, on-site environment
Eligible to obtain Defence security clearance:
Australian-born,
or
Australian citizen for a minimum of five years
Ability to obtain and explicit Police Clearance.
Highly Desirable
Experience working on Defence or secure government projects
Ability to operate autonomously while contributing to a broader project team
