As a Desktop Support Technician, you will play a key role in supporting technology deployment activities that enable project teams and business users to work effectively. You will provide hands-on technical support for desktop device rollouts, user migrations, troubleshooting, and onboarding activities while ensuring a seamless transition to up-to-date workplace technologies.
Key responsibilities
Support the deployment of Contemporary Desktop devices, including device builds, application installation, user migration, and troubleshooting.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues to minimise disruption during deployment.
Coordinate device replacements and onboarding activities with project teams, service desk staff, and business stakeholders.
Provide end-user support, including floor-walking, guidance,
and issue resolution during rollout activities.
Assist with testing, validation, and documentation to support successful deployment and transition to operations.
Criteria
Demonstrated experience providing desktop, technical support, or device deployment services.
Experience troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, operating system, and peripheral issues.
Ability to deliver excellent customer service and provide effective end-user support.
Robust communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work effectively within established processes while maintaining accurate documentation.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve project outcomes.
