Reporting to the Vendor Quality Surveillance Lead, you will coordinate quality surveillance activities across a diverse range of equipment and suppliers.
Working closely with Procurement, vendors, and Quality Surveillance Inspectors, you will ensure inspection and test activities are planned, executed, and monitored in accordance with project requirements, industry standards, and approved quality plans.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate Vendor Quality Surveillance (VQS) activities across suppliers and manufacturing locations.
Determine Equipment Criticality Ratings (ECR) and identify inspection requirements for supplied equipment and materials.
Liaise with Procurement, project teams, suppliers,
and inspectors to establish appropriate surveillance levels and inspection coverage.
Coordinate and schedule Quality Surveillance Inspector attendance for inspection and test activities.
Facilitate pre-inspection alignment meetings and ensure key stakeholders are informed and prepared.
Monitor vendor compliance with approved quality plans, specifications, standards, and contractual requirements.
Provide regular reporting, updates, and surveillance forecasts to the VQS Lead and Procurement Manager.
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of VQS execution plans, procedures, and project quality processes.
About You
You will bring strong experience in vendor quality surveillance, manufacturing quality assurance, or quality control within large-scale engineering, mining, energy, infrastructure, or EPCM project environments.
You have a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, inspection and testing requirements, and the application of industry codes, standards, and quality management systems, including ISO ****.
Your ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, standards, and regulatory requirements enables you to confidently assess supplier compliance and facilitate effective communication across vendors, inspectors, procurement, and project teams.
You are highly organised, detail-oriented, and possess strong planning, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience working in complex project delivery environments with a strong materials management focus will be highly regarded.
Preferred candidates will possess relevant technical qualifications and approximately 10 years' experience in a similar vendor quality surveillance, inspection, quality assurance, or supplier quality role.
