Assistant Accountant | Financial Services | Sydney | Longer term contract

Our client is a leading funds management firm based in Sydney CBD. The business is entering an exciting growth phase with a robust focus on process improvement, making this a outstanding time to join a high-performing finance function. In this hands-on role, you'll support the day-to-day accounting and reporting, working closely with both the finance and asset management teams.

What you'll be doing:
Processing invoices into the general ledger to meet month-end deadlines
Liaising with the other teams on invoice and payment approvals
Monitoring bank accounts, completing monthly bank reconciliations and supporting quarterly cash flow reporting
Issuing revenue invoices to counterparties and reviewing payment claims




Providing broader administrative support across the accounting and asset management teams

What we're looking for:
Relevant accounting degree
Exposure to general ledger systems (SAP experience highly regarded) and AP/AR processes
Strong Excel skills and confidence across the Microsoft Office suite
Excellent written and verbal communication
A proactive, detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
A team player mentality
Familiarity with AI tools in a workplace setting is a plus
