About the role

OPI Melbourne is seeking a Construction Contracts Administrator to fill a Full time position based in the Melbourne, Vermont Office. Reporting to Management and Project Teams, this role is responsible for the commercial administration of multiple construction projects across Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Recent South Wales. The position supports all aspects of project delivery, from setup and procurement through to claims, contract administration and financial closeout.

Key responsibilities
Preparation and management of progress claims, invoicing and payment schedule reconciliations
Contract administration including variations, cost tracking, commercial reporting and project closeouts
Administration of subcontractor claims, statutory declarations, insurances and compliance documentation
Procurement support including purchase orders, supplier coordination and subcontractor management
Project setup, cost coding, claims registers and maintenance of project financial records




Liaison with clients, builders, suppliers and subcontractors on commercial and contractual matters
Financial reporting, reconciliations and support for audits and business reporting requirements
Administer project management systems including Payapps, Aconex, Procore and client portals
Support for major projects through procurement, supplier negotiations, variations management and programme tracking

About you
Experience in a Contracts Administrator or Commercial Administrator role within the construction industry
Solid understanding of progress claims, variations, subcontract administration and project financial management
Excellent organisation skills and the ability to build relationships with clients, suppliers and project teams
Experience with construction management and financial software systems preferred
