About the position:

QV Dental, located in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, is currently seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Dental Assistant to join our team in a part time basis Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

This is a outstanding chance to be part of a supportive and dynamic team within a up-to-date, 4-chair general dentistry practice. Our dentists and staff are committed to delivering high-quality treatments with a strong focus on patient-centred care.

In this hands-on role, you’ll work closely with our dental team and report to the Practice Manager. Plus, with a variety of procedures and a collaborative environment, there’s plenty of opportunity to grow your skills and expand your knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort.
Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organised treatment area.
Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well-stocked and organised.
Patient Education: Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and educate them about oral hygiene and preventive care.
Team Collaboration:



Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience.
Compliance: Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, as well as regulatory requirements in the dental practice.

What do you need to succeed:
Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is essential
A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial but not mandatory
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Prior experience with EXACT dental software program is beneficial
Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy
Attention to detail
