Join our dynamic team at The Standard Market Company, a premier gourmet food retail company located at the bustling Ferry Road Markets in Southport. Our Production Kitchen is seeking a motivated and qualified Chef to join our already established team.

We are seeking an experienced & passionate Chef/ experienced cook to support our commercial production kitchen team based in Southport. 38hr/week

This position is being offered on a Full-time basis with the hours of work between 8:30am-7pm (Monday to Friday)

Duties & Responsibilities:
You will assist the Production kitchen team in achieving quality products to sell throughout our three locations.
Execute standard recipes of salads & a variety of take-home meals/products with a high level of attention to detail & consistency.
Utilise correct PPE & safe hygiene & sanitising procedures to ensure a secure work environment.
Follow meticulous packaging & transfer procedures to assure our product is delivered on time & adheres to strict HACCP regulations
Oversee & mentor junior staff in a respectful manner conducive to creating a positive work culture.





To be suitable for this role, you will have:
A sense of urgency as production is a rapid-paced environment.
Previous experience in a large food production facility/commercial kitchen with a passion for creating high quality food.
Experience in food preparation & safe food handling for the prevention of food-borne illnesses (A food safety supervisor certificate is preferable)
You must be physically fit as this role requires you to be able to bend, lift over 10kg, stand for long periods of time and do repetitive tasks.
A high level of organisational skills and a methodical approach to tasks
The ability to follow direction from a supervisor & demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet changing requirements
work effectively under pressure, problem solve and meet deadlines.
