About the role

Canobolas High School in Orange is looking for a School Farm Assistant to help run the school's agricultural plot. In this role, you'll support teachers and students as they care for animals, grow fruit and vegetable crops and keep the farm running smoothly.

Key responsibilities
Plant and take care of horticulture crops, including watering, fertilising, and controlling pests and weeds
Harvest crops when they are ready and help with storing or using the produce as the school needs
Help with managing farm supplies, making sure things like chemicals are stored safely
General farm maintenance like fixing fences, mowing grass, and upkeep of farm buildings and infrastructure
Look after animals like livestock and poultry,



including helping with their breeding if needed
Follow health and safety rules, wear safety gear, report any problems.
Keep records of farm supplies, chemical use and livestock operations
Other farm-related tasks as asked by the agriculture teacher and or the school principal
The postion offers adaptable working hours accross 5 days week.
NSW Department of Education Manadatory Training provided on site.
Working with Childrens Check required
Drivers Licence required
