This role is responsible for supporting, managing, and improving automation solutions while ensuring the reliability and performance of PLC and SCADA systems.Working closely with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance and other key stakeholders, you will play a critical role in driving operational efficiency, troubleshooting technical issues and delivering automation projects across the site.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for PLC and SCADA systems across the siteInvestigate the root causes of downtime and develop engineering solutions to improve operational performanceRespond to programming breakdowns and urgent automation-related issuesPlan, execute and close out automation tasks and projects on time and within budgetWork closely with the Maintenance Planner to coordinate work orders, priorities, technical information, and inspection requirementsMaintain and update PLC documentation, control system schematics,



manuals and related technical recordsDevelop functional specifications for recent control processes and automation improvementsManage automation projects from implementation through to completionDesign, develop, install, program, commission and fault-find control systemsAdminister and maintain SCADA systems, including databases, screendisplays, backups, alarms, user access and system configurationsWhat You'll BringBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experienceExperience in automation engineering, PLC/SCADA support and automation equipment maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of PLC programming, SCADA systems, computer programming and software developmentExperience with project management and exposure to SAPHigh competency with Rockwell and Ignition platforms, with knowledge of other PLC systems highly regardedWhy Join Primo?
