Oceanfront Hotel is seeking an experienced Live-On-Site Duty Manager to join our team on the stunning Cairns Esplanade. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced workplace and wants genuine work-life balance with accommodation included as part of the package.

About the Role

As Duty Manager, you'll oversee daily hotel operations, lead and support the front office and guest services team, and be a visible, hands-on presence ensuring every guest has an exceptional stay. Living in office, you'll be closely connected to the property and well placed to respond quickly and effectively whenever needed.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day hotel operations across shifts
Lead, coach and support front office and guest service staff
Handle guest inquiries, feedback and escalations with professionalism
Monitor and maintain service standards, presentation and compliance
Support rostering, stock control and reporting




Respond to on-site incidents and operational needs outside standard hours
Work closely with the Head of Operations to drive performance and guest satisfaction

About You
Previous experience in a similar hotel leadership role
Strong leadership and guest service skills
Versatile and available to be in office, including responding after hours when required
A proactive, solutions-focused approach
RMS experience highly regarded
Full working rights in Australia
