This program continues his legacy by providing training, mentorship, and opportunities for the next generation.Program OverviewSupported by MEGT and Apprenticeship Support Australia, our four-year program offers:On-the-job training and rotations across projects and sitesOff-the-job block/day release training delivered by TAFE SACertificate III in Electrotechnology Systems Electrician upon completionThe OpportunityWe are seeking an Electrical Apprentice to join our manufacturing division (CPI) based in Wingfield, SA.This is an exciting opportunity to develop your electrical trade within a specialised area of the industry.
As part of your apprenticeship, you will work alongside experienced tradespeople building and wiring control panels, protection systems and modular switchrooms used on major high-voltage infrastructure projects throughout Australia.You'll gain hands‐on experience reading electrical schematics, wiring panels, installing equipment and testing completed assemblies, while completing your formal trade qualifications.
As your skills develop, you'll have the opportunity to gain exposure across both our panel building and switchroom assembly teams, building a strong foundation for a long‐term career in the power and renewable energy sectors.Key responsibilities will include:Assisting with the assembly and wiring of protection and control panelsLearning to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawingsSupporting the manufacture and fit out of kiosks and modular switchroomsCompleting cable terminations and inter-panel wiringAssisting with switchroom retrofit and upgrade projectsSupporting testing, fault finding and quality assurance activitiesMaintaining workshop safety, housekeeping and quality standardsWorking closely with qualified electricians and tradespeople to develop your skillsAbout YouA genuine interest in pursuing a career as an ElectricianHave completed Year 11 (Year 12 preferred)Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workWillingness to learn,
