Customer Service Advisor

Tuggerah, NSW | $37.50 per hour | Monday to Friday | 8am to 5pm

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Advisor to join a busy Customer and Publisher Services team based in Tuggerah.

This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to bookseller customers and publisher clients, building strong working relationships and ensuring customer requests are completed accurately and within agreed service levels.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include
Proactively liaising with customers and clients to maintain solid working relationships
Responding to customer and client enquiries via phone and written communication
Processing orders, return authorisations, rebates, group buys, transfers, consignment sales, remainders, direct shipments and other customer requests
Ensuring requests are processed accurately and completed right the first time
Resolving customer and client queries within agreed service levels
Handling customer and client complaints effectively and professionally
Maintaining effective communication with internal departments
Working towards departmental performance and service-level targets




Escalating ongoing issues or queries to the Team Leader or Manager when required
Identifying opportunities to improve processes, service and productivity
Maintaining high standards of quality and productivity

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience working in a fast-paced customer service role
Experience working in a target-driven environment
Experience building effective customer and client relationships
Experience processing data
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Robust attention to detail
Strong conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills
The ability to remain calm under pressure
The ability to meet productivity targets without compromising quality
Strong planning and prioritisation skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
A self-motivated, reliable and flexible approach
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
