The Comiskey Group is a successful and expanding family-owned Queensland entity that builds and operates hotels, caravan parks and shopping centres. Our venues include the award-winning venues of Eatons Hill Hotel, Sandstone Point Hotel and Sandstone Point Holiday Resort.

An Accounts Payable Officer is required for our construction division located at Eatons Hill. The position requires an experienced, highly motivated and detail-oriented accounts payable officer. The hours of work are Monday – Friday from 8.30am to 5.00pm.

Reporting to the Group Accountant the responsibilities of the position will include:
Accurate, high-volume processing of supplier invoices
Overseeing of the invoice approval process
Preparation of weekly creditor EFT payment runs
Reconciliation of creditor statements
Managing creditor queries and resolving discrepancies
Filing and archiving
Office duties





To be successful for this position you will need to demonstrate:
At least three years previous experience working within a high volume accounts payable setting
A sound knowledge of Reckon, QuickBooks, MYOB, Zero or other comparable accounting system
Solid organisation skills and the ability to work under pressure
Quick/accurate data entry skills
A willingness and flexibility to help out where desired
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
While not necessary, previous experience in the construction industry will be highly regarded
