Automation Technician – Leading Food Manufacturing BusinessLocation: Corowa, NSWEmployment Type: Permanent Full-TimeIndustry: Food Manufacturing / FMCGShift: DayshiftThe OpportunityWe are currently seeking an experienced Automation Technician to join a leading food manufacturing business with a solid reputation for quality, innovation and operational excellence.
This is an excellent opportunity for an automation-focused technician who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and wants to play a key role in keeping highly automated production lines running safely and efficiently.
You will work closely with the maintenance, engineering and production teams to troubleshoot automation issues, minimise downtime and drive continuous improvement across the site.Your responsibilities will include:Troubleshooting and fault-finding PLC, automation and control systemsDiagnosing electrical and instrumentation faults across automated production equipmentSupporting production teams with breakdowns and automation-related issuesProgramming and modifying PLCs, HMIs and control systemsWorking with sensors, VSDs, servos, robotics and automated machineryPreventative and corrective maintenance of automation equipmentIdentifying opportunities to improve machine reliability and reduce downtimeAssisting with commissioning,



upgrades and installation of new equipmentWorking with engineering and maintenance teams on continuous improvement projectsMaintaining accurate maintenance records and ensuring all work is completed safely and to site standardsAbout YouWe are looking for someone with:NSW Electrical LicenseRelevant electrical, automation, mechatronics or engineering qualificationPrevious experience in a manufacturing, FMCG or process environmentStrong PLC troubleshooting and programming experienceExperience with HMIs, VSDs, sensors and industrial control systemsStrong electrical fault-finding capabilityAbility to read and interpret electrical schematicsA proactive approach to preventative maintenance and reliabilityStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively under pressure in a production environmentWhy Join?
