EL1 Lead Asset Manager - Manufacturing & Asset Management
Location: Deakin, ACTContract: 6 months, with two extension options of up to 1 month eachPay: $90 to $100 p/h including super (negotiable)Work type: Full-timeWork arrangement: Hybrid / adaptable, with specific arrangements agreed with your supervisor on a case-by-case basisClearance: Must hold a current Baseline clearance or above
About the Role
This is a senior physical asset management role with our Federal Government client in a specialised manufacturing environment.
You will lead the systems, plans and processes that keep critical physical assets protected, reliable and cost-effective.
The work spans lifecycle planning, CMMS data, maintenance performance, condition and reliability assessment, risk and continuous improvement.
You will work across operations, maintenance, engineering, leadership and governance teams.
The role needs someone who can turn asset data into sound decisions and keep long-term plans aligned with operational needs and available resources.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead the asset management function, policy, processes and proceduresDevelop long‐term asset plans and lifecycle strategiesMaintain accurate and auditable asset registers and CMMS dataOversee CMMS, ERP, configuration and technical data interactionsMonitor maintenance plans, condition,
reliability and asset performanceProduce asset performance analysis and insights for senior stakeholdersCoordinate new assets against operational, maintenance and safety needsBalance asset plans and budgets against resources and riskDrive continuous improvement across the asset lifecycleAssess the impacts of planned asset management system changes
What You Bring (Essential Criteria)
You've managed physical assets through lifecycle planning, maintenance, renewal, replacement and disposalYou've worked with critical assets and programmed servicing in a manufacturing or industrial environmentYou've owned or maintained CMMS asset data, configuration or technical informationYou can apply Systems Engineering and Quality Management principles to asset decisionsYou've managed plant safety and risk, including formal risk assessmentsYou use condition, reliability and performance information to guide decisionsYou can negotiate and influence operational, technical and senior stakeholdersYou can balance competing priorities, plans, budgets and riskYou're an Australian citizenYou must hold a current Baseline clearance or above
Nice to Have (Desirable Criteria)
Experience with MainpacQualifications in reliability engineering, asset management or another relevant engineering fieldExperience in a regulated Commonwealth manufacturing or industrial environmentExperience integrating CMMS information with ERP or other enterprise platforms
