Ventura Bus Lines is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Officer to join our Finance team based in Dandenong.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly capable accounts professional who enjoys a hands-on role, thrives on problem solving, and is looking to further develop their career within a stable and growing organisation.As a senior member of the team, you'll provide guidance and support to colleagues, contribute ideas to improve processes, and play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business.The role offers hybrid working arrangements, genuine career progression opportunities, and occasional travel between our Dandenong office and Crown Coaches Head Office in Nunawading.Key ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processesProcess supplier invoices, payments and customer invoicingMonitor and report on aged debtors and creditorsProcess and reconcile transactions through online banking platformsSupport payroll-related financial transactionsLiaise with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholdersProvide guidance and support to Accounts Officers on finance processes and best practiceIdentify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficienciesContribute to projects and initiatives that support the ongoing success of the Finance teamAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will possess:Minimum 5 years' experience working across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functionsPrevious experience in a Senior Accounts Officer, Accounts Officer or similar finance roleExperience using online banking platforms and processing electronic paymentsStrong reconciliation experience and attention to detailIntermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (preferred)Experience using ERP/accounting systemsExcellent organisational and time management skillsStrong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying solutionsThe ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environmentConfidence providing guidance and support to colleaguesStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsBenefits at Ventura:Hybrid working arrangements with work-from-home opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative team environmentExposure to a diverse and growing businessOngoing professional development and career progression opportunitiesAccess a range of exclusive employee benefits and wellbeing initiativesConvenient Dandenong location with onsite parkingReady to Join Us?
