Let's make a meaningful difference, together.Your responsibilitiesDemonstrate a passion for Thrift Emporium and its purpose, promoting its service and value to the community through personal actions, behaviours, practices and outcomesSupport the Retail Supervisor in all aspects of a retail operation and delegate responsibilities where appropriate to ensure sound business practices are adhered to and sales targets are achievedWork with staff and volunteers to review and monitor pricing, visual merchandising, promotional events and selling techniques to ensure that profitability is maintained and improvedMaintain effective communication channels within direct team, regional support functions and external stakeholders and provide assistance to team members in handling customer complaints / enquiries.Identify issues and opportunities based on selling and customer feedbackSet objectives and prioritise tasks, ensuring objectives are tied to overall business strategyCoach and develop direct reports daily, ensuring development goals are linked to business objectives and improved performanceWhat makes a difference for usTo be successful for this role you will need to be/have:Be passionate about Thrift Emporium and be able to articulate its purposeDemonstrated experience in retail management (or hospitality management),



including experience in coaching and mentoring peopleAbility to deliver a high level of customer service and exceed customer expectationsDemonstrate enthusiasm and eagerness to learn the fundamentals of all store roles, including but not limited to customer service, visual presentation, online marketing and stock controlCreate a values driven, diverse and safe employment setting that attracts, engages and retains skilled employees and volunteersCommunicate promotional event information to maximise resultsIdentifyissues and opportunities based on trends and customer feedbackSetting and exceeding priorities to meet daily deadlines; developing plans to meet short-term objectivesStrong problem solving and influencing skillsAbility to use a retail business systems, POS and Microsoft OfficeWhat makes a difference for you?
