About the role

This exciting opportunity is designed to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander doctors seeking to develop their clinical skills and experience within a tertiary healthcare setting. Based at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, the role offers exposure to a broad range of acute and critical care services while supporting career progression toward specialist training pathways.

Working within multidisciplinary healthcare teams, you will provide high-quality patient care, participate in teaching and professional development activities, and gain valuable experience managing diverse and complex clinical presentations. The role provides a supportive learning environment with access to mentorship, education and training opportunities that foster both professional growth and culturally safe healthcare delivery.

About you
Provide safe, effective and patient-centred clinical care under the supervision of senior medical staff across a range of acute healthcare settings.
Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills while working as part of multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Participate in education, teaching, audit and quality improvement activities that support excellence in clinical practice.
Build and maintain positive relationships with patients,



families, colleagues and stakeholders while contributing to culturally secure healthcare delivery.
Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing career development and career progression within the medical profession.
