The Role
n
Based within a major tertiary referral hospital servicing a population of approximately 700,000 people, you will provide specialist psychiatric assessment and treatment for children and adolescents with severe and complex mental health disorders.
n
Working across the Acute Child and Adolescent Inpatient Unit and community mental health services, you will deliver recovery-focused care while working closely with experienced psychiatrists, psychologists, nursing staff, allied health professionals and community agencies.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

Specialist psychiatric assessment and treatment of children and adolescents
n
Management of complex mental health presentations across inpatient and community settings
n
Clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team
n
Participation in service planning and quality improvement initiatives
n
Teaching and supervision of junior medical staff and multidisciplinary colleagues
n
Opportunities to participate in research and academic activities
n
Delivering high-quality, patient-centred and recovery-oriented care

Requirements Applicants Should Possess

Fellowship of the Royal Australian and Current Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or eligibility for specialist registration via the RANZCP Specialist Pathway
n
Eligibility for registration with AHPRA / Medical Board of Australia
n
Specialist experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
n
Commitment to multidisciplinary, recovery-oriented care

Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills
