Job Task Analysis - Legal Services
Play a key role supporting Council's Legal office and legal service delivery
Part-time permanent role (0.6 FTE, ***** hrs. per week)
Hybrid work options available, with an average of one day working from home per week
$83,421 – $96,065 per annum pro rata (dependent on skills & experience) plus superannuation
Location: Cheltenham
About the Team
The Legal Office provides qualified legal services and support across Council.
Working closely in a Team that consists of a current Legal Support Officer, Executive Manager Legal, Legal Officer and Prosecutions Coordinator, the team delivers legal administration, case support and operational services that help ensure effective outcomes for Council and the community.
About the Role
Working with our existing Legal Support Officer, you'll provide high-level administrative and coordination support to the Legal Office.
You'll help keep legal matters, court processes, financial administration and day-to-day operations running smoothly.
This role is well suited to someone who is highly organised, enjoys working with a variety of stakeholders and can confidently manage confidential information.
What You'll Deliver
Professional administrative support across a range of legal and operational activities
Accurate processing of legal invoices, quotations and payments
Coordination of meetings, diaries, court dates and key legal documentation
Timely and professional communication with internal and external stakeholders
Support for court-related processes, including document lodgement and stakeholder coordination
Effective administration of legal service provider documentation and agreements




Contributions to improving team processes and service delivery
Your Skills and Experience
We're looking for someone with
Strong administrative skills with finance experience
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills
The ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Experience working within established processes, policies and deadlines
Experience in a law firm, legal field or local government is highly desirable
