The role:
We're looking for an Aquaculture Technician to join our team at our Proserpine Prawn Farm, located in the beautiful region between Airlie Beach and Bowen.
We are currently recruiting a full-time max term position (6 month role): on a 2/2/3 roster.
You'll play a key role in maintaining animal health and ensuring optimal conditions for prawn growth in our quick-paced aquaculture environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct daily pond monitoring, checking prawn health, water quality and aeration systems
Follow all safety protocols and procedures
Use digital systems (iPad) to record data and complete tasks
Support the team with general farm operations as required
Role requirements:
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions




Strong attention to detail and capable of identifying potential issues early
Reliable and safety-conscious
Basic technology skills - comfortable using iPads
Aquaculture/farming experience (advantageous but not essential)
Ability to work 12-hour shifts
Team player with positive attitude
Hold adriver's licenceand have reliable transport to site
Full working rights in Australia
Role offerings:
$360 extra per fortnight (prawn farming allowance)
2/2/3 roster - balanced work schedule
Full-time contract for 6 months
