Part-time (0.6 FTE) continuing opportunity for a Senior Lecturer (Clinical Education)
Base Salary $162,347 (Pro Rata) + 17% superannuation + Full clinical loading pro-rata for eligible candidates
About the opportunity
The Senior Lecturer (Clinical Education) is an education-focused academic role that makes a significant contribution to teaching and learning through the application of extensive clinical experience and expertise.
You will play a leading role in developing and implementing contemporary clinical pedagogy, driving innovation in curriculum design, and strengthening partnerships with the surgical profession and stakeholders.
Working collaboratively with academic colleagues and industry partners, you will contribute to high-quality surgical education and help advance the strategic goals of the School, Faculty and University.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
lead the development and implementation of innovative education initiatives and curriculum review activities
deliver high-quality teaching within the Mastery of Surgery program, with a focus on surgical anatomy and surgical sciences
coordinate and contribute to teaching and learning activities that meet University standards for education excellence
supervise research students and support successful student outcomes
coordinate award programs and lead team-teaching activities with academic colleagues
develop innovative teaching resources and contemporary clinical learning practices
mentor and support clinical educators while leading clinical teaching projects and initiatives
build and maintain productive relationships with clinical, industry and skilled partners
contribute to strategic planning,



academic leadership and continuous improvement activities across the School and Faculty
About you
Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) experience with anatomy teaching and postgraduate surgical education significant experience applying contemporary clinical teaching practices demonstrated expertise in education, curriculum design, and pedagogy experience coordinating and delivering high-quality clinical teaching and learning activities experience supervising and mentoring students and colleagues ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with professional and industry stakeholders excellent communication, presentation, organisational and influencing skills.
