Relief Carers provide adaptable coverageacross both Merriwa residential care centres, stepping intorostered or short-notice shifts to support operationalrequirements and ensure continuity of care for ourresidents.

,stepping into planned and unplanned shifts based on operationalneeds.
You will:
Beresponsible for providing direct care, support and assistanceto residents;
Encourage and promotethe activities program for residents;
Assistresidents to communicate to ensure that the rights, interestsand needs of resident's are met;
Respondto resident's requests for personal care and otherassistance;
Maintainresident records and information, utilising relevant systemsand in line with specified policies and procedures;
Maintaina clean, comfortable, and secure homelike environment for theresident;
Encourage and promotethe independence and freedom of choice ofresidents.
Buildmeaningful relationships with residents, families andcolleagues;
Beadaptable and available to work across both Merriwa residentialcare centres as required.

VivianBullwinkel Lodge

CambraiVillage Estate
, is a 79-bed Residential CareCentre offering quality aged care services in a warmcommunity setting with beautiful parklandsurroundings.
As a member of our
Carer Relief Pool
, you will have theopportunity to work across both facilities, providing flexiblesupport to residents and care teams while gaining exposure todifferent environments and experiences.
Relief Carers play anessential role in ensuring continuity of care by assisting withplanned leave, vacancies and short-notice staffingrequirements.

To be successful, you will have:
ACertificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or CertificateIV in Ageing Support with relevant work experience;
Previousexperience in residential aged care;
Excellent communicationand interpersonal skills;
Abilityto work independently and as part of a team;
Flexibility to workacross both Merriwa residential care facilities;
Eligibility to work inAustralia;
Asatisfactory National Police Certificate (within six months ofissue at commencement) or willingness to obtainone;
Currentflu vaccination or willingness to obtain one;
Anupdated resume.
