We are seeking a number of suitably experienced plant operators to assist in council's road and street maintenance and construction programs.
The successful applicants will be required to operate various plant and equipment in accordance with specified standards.
To be successful in this role you will need
Qualifications and experience
Employee working with children check.
A current Victorian driver licence (minimum medium rigid (MR) licence) is required.
Experience working in a team environment and following instructions from supervisors.
Ability to perform physical labouring tasks in outdoor conditions for extended periods.
Previous experience in civil construction, road maintenance or spray sealing
Qualification in construction, parks, gardens or transferable skills working with a council
A Construction White Card (CPCCWHS****)




Certificates of competency in plant items e.g. roller, skid steer, tractor, FE loader, backhoe or any other plant items relevant to council operations.
Basic experience using hand tools, small plant or equipment in a labouring, construction, farming or outdoor work setting
Key selection criteria 1
Experience across either construction, farming, parks & gardens, signage and line marking maintenance.
Key selection criteria 2
Intermediate written and verbal skills.
Key selection criteria 3
Basic mechanical knowledge.
