About the Role
Lyell McEwin Hospital is one of South Australia's busiest public health services, and its Cardiovascular Investigation Suite sits at the heart of complex cardiac care for the Northern Adelaide community.
If you're a Registered Nurse with a genuine interest in cardiology and want to apply your clinical skills in a dedicated, procedure-focused environment, this part time contract role offers meaningful work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team.
What You'll Be Doing
Delivering skilled nursing care within the Cardiovascular Investigation Suite, supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
Preparing patients for investigations including ECGs, stress testing, echocardiography, and cardiac monitoring
Monitoring and assessing patient responses during and after procedures, escalating appropriately
Maintaining accurate clinical documentation in line with NALHN and SA Health standards
What You'll Bring
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Experience in a cardiology, cardiac catheterisation laboratory, or related acute clinical setting
Demonstrated ability to monitor haemodynamic status and recognise cardiac arrhythmias
Strong patient assessment skills with a calm, considered approach under pressure
Commitment to person-centred care that reflects SA Health's safety and quality frameworks
Current Basic Life Support certification
To be eligible for this position, you must beRegistered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds,
or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.

In this role you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills which will enable you to successfully problem solve, resolve conflicts and negotiate, including the ability to engage in difficult conversations, whilst building and maintaining relationships.
An ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse and competing priorities and demonstrated resilience within a stressful and complex environment is essential to this role.
