Costerfield Operations, owned and operated by Alkane Resources Ltd, is situated in Central Victoria, east of Bendigo and surrounded by numerous towns within a 50km radius, offering a variety of residential options.
Our current operation runs an underground mine and processing plant that is responsible for producing gold and antimony.
The mine's workforce consists of over 250 permanent employees who hold various roles in professional, technical, mining, processing, and trades.

Requirements
About The Role
Reporting to the Electrical & Fixed Plant Superintendent, this hands‐on leadership position is responsible for coordinating electrical maintenance activities, managing electrical tradespeople, apprentices and contractors, and ensuring critical assets operate safely and efficiently.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Lead and coordinate day‐to‐day electrical maintenance across underground, processing plant and surface facilities.
Supervise and support electricians, apprentices and contractors to deliver safe and efficient outcomes.
Prioritise and coordinate planned maintenance, breakdown response, shutdowns and project work.
Ensure all electrical work is completed in accordance with statutory requirements, electrical standards and site procedures.
Drive a strong safety culture through visible leadership, risk management and compliance activities.
Coordinate electrical inspections, testing,
certifications and statutory obligations.
Monitor equipment performance and implement solutions to improve reliability and availability.
Manage work execution, labour allocation and maintenance priorities across multiple operational areas.
Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Planning and Projects teams to achieve business objectives.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, equipment upgrades and commissioning activities.
About You
Electrical trade qualification with a current Victorian Electrician's Licence.
Demonstrated experience in mining, mineral processing, heavy industry or a similar industrial environment.
Previous supervisory, leading hand or frontline leadership experience.
Strong understanding of electrical safety, isolation, testing, fault finding and statutory compliance requirements.
Experience with fixed plant electrical systems including power distribution, motor control, instrumentation, PLCs and variable speed drives.
Experience using CMMS and maintenance management systems.
Strong troubleshooting, problem‐solving and decision‐making capability.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Commitment to safety leadership and continuous improvement.
Current driver's licence and ability to meet site access and fitness‐for‐work requirements.
