The Role
OneTemp is looking for a
Customer Support Specialist - Environmental Monitoring
to join its Adelaide team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in environmental monitoring, scientific instrumentation or a related technical field who also brings strong customer service and communication skills.
You don't need to know every product from day one.
What matters is your ability to learn, understand how things work, ask the right questions and provide customers with practical, reliable solutions.
Main Responsibilities
Responding to customer enquiries by phone and email with friendly, knowledgeable and solutions-focused support
Understanding customer requirements and recommending fit-for-purpose monitoring solutions
Providing pre- and post-sales technical support
Assisting customers with product configuration, troubleshooting and technical issues
Preparing quotations and following up customer enquiries
Processing orders accurately and maintaining customer records
Liaising with suppliers to investigate and resolve more complex technical issues
Supporting warranty, repair and replacement processes
Coordinating with internal teams and suppliers to ensure smooth order fulfilment
Building your knowledge of environmental monitoring products, applications and emerging technologies
Developing trusted, long-term relationships with customers through excellent service and technical credibility
Undertaking occasional customer site visits where hands‐on technical assistance is required
About You
You don't necessarily need previous environmental monitoring experience.
We're interested in hearing from people who can demonstrate transferable technical and customer-facing skills.
Ideally, you'll bring:
Experience in a technical, trade, industrial, scientific, engineering, equipment, laboratory or similar environment would be advantageous, but is not essential
Strong customer service skills and a genuine desire to achieve positive outcomes for customers
An interest in technical products and the ability to learn how equipment and systems work
Strong problem-solving skills and confidence working through practical solutionsThe ability to communicate technical or detailed information in a clear and straightforward way
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities
A proactive, curious approach and genuine willingness to learn
A strong sense of ownership, reliability and follow-through
Confidence learning current software, systems and technical products
Experience using CRM or ERP systems would be advantageous
Relevant technical, trade, scientific or tertiary qualifications would be well regarded but are not essential
