About the Role
We're seeking a customer-focused and highly organised Planning Support Officer to join our Development Advisory and Insights team.
In this role, you'll provide technical and administrative support for the NSW Planning Portal and associated planning processes.
You'll assist customers, consultants and internal stakeholders, manage planning-related records and documentation, process invoices and purchase orders, provide general administrative duties and help ensure applications and enquiries are handled accurately and efficiently.
Working across a range of planning systems and business processes,
you'll play an important role in supporting the delivery of planning and development services across the City of Ryde.
About You
You're an organised and proactive professional who enjoys working with systems, solving problems and providing excellent customer service.
You have strong attention to detail, communicate confidently with a range of stakeholders and can manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
You're equally comfortable working independently and contributing to a collaborative team.
Most importantly, you're looking for an opportunity to build your planning knowledge and develop a long-term career within local government.
What You'll Bring
Strong administrative and records management skills
Experience in planning administration, development services, local government or government administration
Experience managing customer enquiries and stakeholder relationships
Strong computer literacy and experience using corporate systems and databases
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
A proactive approach and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Highly Regarded
Experience using the NSW Planning Portal
Knowledge of development assessment, planning processes or building certification
Experience within a Local Government planning or development services environment
Experience using Content Manager or TRIM
