The Pharmacy Procurement Officer ensures the protected, timely, and cost-effective purchasing of medicines and pharmacy-related supplies for the hospital.
The role supports continuity of patient care by maintaining optimal stock levels, managing supply chain risks, and working closely with pharmacists, technicians, support staff, suppliers, and clinical teams.
Working alongside the Lead Pharmacy Procurement Officer, a regular day will see you:
Provide day to day medication procurement and pharmacy consumables purchasing coordination.
Ensure monitoring of inventory
Communicate with organisational and external stakeholders regarding medication supply
Support the development of strategic goals ensuring the delivery of safe, timely, evidence-based care
About you
You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care.
You'll bring energy and drive to your work and have a keen interest indeveloping your skillset.
To be successful in this role you'll bring with you:




Experience in pharmacy procurement, supply chain, pharmacy support, or hospital logistics.
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical products and hospital medication workflows.
Proficiency with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and excellence.
Capacity to perform under pressure, to meet time constraints and determine work priorities.
A Tertiary qualification is desirable or a Certificate III or IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support (or equivalent).
