What This Role Involves | What You Get to Do
As the Team Leader – Youth Programs, you will lead the effective delivery of Centacare's Youth on Track (YOT), Keep on Track (KoT) and Youth Drug & Alcohol Support (YDAS) programs.
Reporting to the Families, Wellbeing and Justice Program Manager, you will provide leadership, supervision and support to a dedicated team delivering high-quality, client-centred services to young people.
You will play a key role in fostering a positive team culture, ensuring quality service delivery, supporting staff development, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring programs meet contractual, legislative and organisational requirements.
The role will also involve maintaining a client caseload, as agreed with the Program Manager.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Lead, supervise and develop staff to deliver high-quality, client-centred youth services, including regular supervision, coaching and team meetings.
Monitor program delivery and outcomes to ensure services meet client needs, contractual requirements, KPIs and organisational objectives.
Maintain a client caseload as agreed with the Program Manager and support effective engagement with young people accessing services.
Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with government agencies, community organisations and other key partners.




Ensure compliance and effective governance across the programs, including legislation, funding requirements, organisational policies, data collection, record keeping, reporting and grant acquittals.
Identify and manage risks and support continuous improvement, including program evaluation, accreditation and implementation of service improvements.
Promote a positive and professional team culture, role modelling ethical standards, maintaining current sector knowledge and contributing to broader organisational initiatives.
Skills & Experience We're Looking For - Essential Requirements
Relevant qualifications in Community Services, Social Work or a related field
Demonstrated leadership, team-building and staff supervision experience
Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with young people, families, stakeholders and community organisations
Sound understanding of community services frameworks, legislation and best practice, with experience in youth, community services, drug and alcohol or related programs highly regarded
Solid organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, demonstrate initiative and exercise sound professional judgement
Willingness and ability to
travel across the New England and North West region
as required
