Enrolled Nurse - Urgent Care/Community Nursing Wilcannia
This position qualifies for an annual Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (conditions apply and may be pro-rata'd to your contracted or ordinary working hours, these payments are paid on a fortnightly basis) under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.
This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas.

Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, provide safe, compassionate, person centred care in collaboration with individual/s and the multidisciplinary health care team to achieve quality care outcomes for patients and clients.
Assist in the evaluation of nursing care through provision of information, documentation and reporting changes in patient's conditions and participation in Unit meetings and discussions.
Acts as a preceptor to other enrolled nurses, undergraduates, Assistants in Nursing and work experience students as appropriate.
Work within own scope of practice and seek support, learning and education where required.
Where the occupant of the position is medication endorsed,
administer medications in accordance with NSW Health and Far West LHD policies and procedures.

About Wilcannia
Wilcannia is a small, primarily Aboriginal community in far west NSW situated on the banks of the Darling River.

The Wilcannia Multi-Purpose Service (MPS) has a 24-hour 2 bed emergency department and 8 residential aged care beds.
