Registered Nurse – Surgical Services (3SW)

Join the 3SW team delivering post-operative care to Colorectal and Hepatobiliary patients
Work closely with the ANUM, NUM and a supportive nursing team in a busy surgical ward
3SW specialises in post-operative care for Colorectal and Hepatobiliary patients, with admissions coming through elective surgery lists, the Emergency Department, ICU, RMH @ Home, direct admissions and inter‐hospital transfers.
Length of stay typically ranges from one to five days, though some patients require extended care due to the complexity of their condition or surgery.
As part of a close-knit nursing team, you will provide direct patient care, participate in safe and timely discharge planning, and work collaboratively across the multidisciplinary team.
Key Accountabilities
Deliver person‐centred care aligned with RMH values and individual patient, consumer and family needs.
Maintain your own and others' safety and wellbeing, working within scope of practice and seeking support when required.
Collaborate with patients, carers, families and multidisciplinary teams to achieve high‐quality outcomes.
About You
You are a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and at least 3 years' acute nursing experience.
You also bring:
Strong clinical assessment, reasoning, problem‐solving and prioritisation skills
A commitment to delivering safe, high‐quality, person‐centred care
Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills
Reliability, initiative and a willingness to learn and develop
Desirable
Surgical nursing experience
Experience in Colorectal and Hepatobiliary nursing
