About the Role
This is a rewarding part-time prospect (60.8 hours per fortnight) based in Wodonga, supporting mothers and babies across Victoria from pregnancy through to 6–8 weeks after birth.
You will work with women experiencing barriers to accessing care, providing practical support, health promotion and connections to antenatal, postnatal and other community services.
Working collaboratively with maternity, maternal and child health and other services, you will help women make positive choices, improve access to care and support healthy outcomes for themselves and their babies.
The role uses a strength based, trauma informed and culturally responsive approach.
With a strong focus on reducing health inequity and building on each woman's strengths and resources.
This role is classified under the Community Health Centre (Stand Alone Services) Social and Community Service Employees Multi Enterprise Agreement **** level 4 ($***** – $***** + superannuation)
Skills & Experience
To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
Relevant tertiary qualification, including, but not limited to Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Psychology and Counselling or Community Service, and experience working with children and their families.




Experience providing strengths-based, trauma-informed support to work with mothers and their families
A good knowledge of the health, welfare, family violence and education service systems locally and regionally.
Demonstrated understanding of child safety responsibilities, mandatory reporting obligations, privacy requirements and relevant organisational policies and procedures.
