About the role
Provide high-level, advanced clinical Occupational Therapy services, assessing patients' occupational needs through standardised and/or functional assessments and designing and implementing patient-centred interventions across inpatient Aged Care services
Lead the planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting of Occupational Therapy services, working closely with the Occupational Therapy Manager to support effective clinical service delivery
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary clinical care team, contributing to ward rounds, clinical team meetings, working parties and multidisciplinary planning, quality and research activities as required
Drive evidence-based practice and continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance clinical services, policies, work practices and standards, and contributing to clinical research and quality improvement activities




Act as a local resource for complex patient cohorts, providing specialist Occupational Therapy advice and coordinating the development and evaluation of patient education resources
Contribute to the development of students and junior staff through supervision, clinical supervision and ongoing professional development, while ensuring responsible use of Occupational Therapy and organisational resources
About you
Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy with current Australian Occupational Therapy Registration (AHPRA), and a current unrestricted NSW Class C Driver's Licence
Post-graduate experience in acute and/or sub-acute hospital settings, with experience working in Aged Care and across other inpatient Acute Care settings
Experience in advanced clinical management, with the ability to apply clinical reasoning skills and independent professional judgement to routine and complex matters
Demonstrated supervision and leadership experience with staff and/or students, together with well-developed communication skills
Demonstrated experience in quality improvement projects and/or research
