A Senior Consultant, Advisory and Delivery Services
Use your consulting skills to make a meaningful difference with us We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, enjoys solving complex problems and wants to use their consulting skills to make a meaningful difference.
As a Senior Consultant, Advisory and Delivery Services, you'll join a newly established internal consulting team supporting some of Queensland's most critical health, aged care, community and hospital services.
You will work alongside leaders and frontline teams across UnitingCare to understand complex challenges, develop practical solutions and help turn recommendations into action.
This is a rare opportunity to combine the challenge and variety of consulting with the purpose and stability of one of Australia's largest not-for-profit organisations.
You will contribute to a diverse portfolio of engagements spanning project delivery, business analysis, change management, operational improvement, service redesign, transformation support and implementation planning.
No two engagements will be the same.
You will apply structured problem‐solving and consulting discipline while remaining grounded in the realities of frontline service delivery.
Your work will support services including our hospitals, BlueCare, Family and Disability Services, Lifeline Queensland and corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead small, defined advisory engagements and take ownership of workstreams within larger or more complex initiatives.
Structure complex or ambiguous problems into clear work plans, deliverables and practical outcomes.
Partner with leaders to analyse issues, identify opportunities and develop practical recommendations that drive meaningful outcomes.
Facilitate workshops, stakeholder consultations and problem‐solving sessions that translate insights into clear actions.
Develop high‐quality executive‐ready presentations, briefing papers, project plans, implementation plans, that support strategic decision‐making.
Contribute to the growth of a high‐performing Advisory and Delivery Services practice, helping establish ways of working, tools and capabilities that create long‐term value across UnitingCare.
Qualifications and Experience
A relevant tertiary qualification in business, commerce, strategy, operations,



health administration or a related discipline, or equivalent advisory and project delivery experience.
Five to seven years' experience in management consulting, internal advisory, project delivery, transformation, operational improvement or change management.
Experience contributing to a broad range of consulting or delivery assignments, from problem definition and analysis through to implementation.
Demonstrated project and engagement delivery capability.
Strong analytical and structured problem‐solving skills, with the ability to translate complexity into practical solutions.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation and written communication and presentation skills.
Experience preparing clear, concise and high‐quality materials for senior leaders and decision‐making forums.
The ability to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes through strong judgement, collaboration and quality work.
An understanding of health, aged care or broader human services environments.
The ability to operate effectively in a fast‐paced environment with competing priorities, ambiguity and changing requirements.
Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required for the position, including a National Police Check and Right to Work in Australia.
