Your opportunity
In this flexible, hands-on role, you will provide practical and person-centred support to children, young people parents, carers and families accessing our services.
You will work alongside families to build skills, strengthen parenting capacity, improve wellbeing, increase community connections and support identified case plan goals.
Your role will promote safety, stability and positive outcomes for children and families.
Working across regional and rural locations as needed, you will collaborate with your manager, practice clinicians, local organisations, parishes and other Anglicare teams to deliver protected, responsive and coordinated support.
With integrity and resilience, you will:
Deliver practical in-home and community-based support tailored to individual and family needs.
Assist families to strengthen parenting skills, routines and daily living capabilities.
Support participation in education, appointments, social, recreational and community activities.
Provide transport and supervised family contact support where required.
Respond to enquiries, complete required administration and maintain accurate service documentation.
Work within funding guidelines, program targets, organisational policies and secure work practices.
What you'll bring
You are a calm, dependable and adaptable support worker who can build trust while maintaining qualified boundaries.
You work confidently on your own and as part of a team, communicate clearly and respond flexibly to changing needs across regional locations.

What's required
Demonstrated experience providing direct support to children, young people or people with complex support needs.
Understanding of trauma-informed, strengths-based and child-safe practice.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
Current unrestricted NSW driver licence and ability to travel to other locations in the region as negotiated.
Access to a vehicle with third-party property insurance for work-related travel, where required.
Current Working with Children Check and willingness to complete a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
Ability to work flexible hours when required, including occasional evenings or weekends.
What's preferred
Experience in out-of-home care, child and family services, youth work or a regional community-services setting.
A Cert III or above qualification in community services, youth work, child and family services or a related field.
Current First Aid Certificate.
