Department for Correctional Services Job reference: ****** Location: **** - PORT LINCOLN Job status: Long Term Contract Eligibility: Open to Everyone About the Department for Correctional Services The Department employs approximately 2,000 staff and has responsibility for nine prisons and fifteen Community Correctional offices across the state.

Duties The Senior Institutional Social Worker, Port Lincoln Prison is accountable to the General Manager (through the Manager Offender Services Case Management), Port Lincoln Prison, for contributing to the provision of a comprehensive offence focussed social work service for remanded and sentenced prisoners.
This service provision results in the safe, secure, humane management of offenders throughout their custodial sentence.
The Senior Institutional Social Worker,
Port Lincoln Prison also provides consultation and training for institutional custodial staff in their provision of quality service under case management and throughcare principles.
Special Conditions Section 47 of the Public Sector Act **** applies in conjunction with other provisions of the Act and other applicable industrial entitlements.
The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check; A current South Australian Driver's Licence is essential; A flexible approach to working hours is required; Some interstate and intrastate travel will be required which may necessitate overnight absences.
Requirements Essential: A degree level qualification in Social Work leading to eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers Desirable: Nil Remuneration AHP2 ($94,997 - $110,052 p.a.)
