The CAA supports the Supreme Court, District Court, Environment, Resources and Development Court, Youth Court, Magistrates Court and Coroner's Court.

About the role The Deputy Registrar, Criminal is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Higher Courts Criminal Registry.
Reporting to the Principal Registrar and Director, Higher Courts, you will lead a highly skilled team supporting criminal jurisdictions across the Supreme and District Courts.
This role offers a unique chance to influence the delivery of criminal court services, provide expert advice on complex procedural and legislative matters, and work closely with judicial officers and key stakeholders across the justice sector.
You will play a critical role in shaping registry operations, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, contemporary services that support the administration of justice.




This role is ideal for an experienced leader who thrives in complex environments, enjoys solving challenging operational issues, and is passionate about delivering exceptional public service outcomes.
Special Conditions: Appointment is under the Courts Administration Act ****.
Terms and Conditions of employment are governed by the Public Sector Act ****.
Appointment is dependent upon a current National Police Certificate that the CAA finds satisfactory.
As a justice agency, the CAA may receive details of spent convictions as part of any Criminal History Screening and use this information in the selection process.
