Due to our continued growth, we are currently looking for Mechanical Engineers for multiple roles, including Mechanical Design, Manufacturing/Production, Product Development, Project Engineering, and Quality/Compliance, to join our team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities • Design, develop and improve mechanical systems,



components and equipment associated with semi-trailers and transport products using SolidWorks and other engineering/CAD tools.
• Apply engineering principles, calculations and technical analysis to assess mechanical performance, loads, materials, dimensions, stresses and component suitability.
• Prepare, review and maintain SolidWorks models, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials and other technical documentation.
• Assess existing designs and develop engineering solutions to improve product safety, strength, reliability, durability, efficiency and manufacturability.
• Provide technical engineering support to manufacturing, including investigating production issues and implementing approved design and engineering changes.
• Plan and coordinate inspections, testing and performance assessments of mechanical components and finished products.
• Investigate mechanical faults, product failures and non-conformances, determine root causes and recommend corrective and preventative engineering measures.
• Develop technical requirements for machinery, tooling, equipment, components and maintenance activities, and support equipment and production improvement projects.
• Evaluate purchased components,



materials and supplier information against engineering requirements and provide technical advice on component selection and performance.
• Support product certification, engineering compliance and safety requirements, including relevant Australian standards, regulations and technical specifications.
• Contribute to new product development and continuous improvement projects through analysis of production and field-performance data and implementation of engineering improvements.
What we're looking for • Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in mechanical engineering, including mechanical design, and engineering support • Proficiency in SolidWorks and at least one year experience in SolidWorks.
• Previous experience in trailer manufacturing, heavy duty, automotive, fabrication will be highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.
• Knowledge of Australian vehicle/trailer compliance requirements and relevant standards.
• Understanding of structural design, welding and fabricated steel components.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and Good Communication and time management skills.
Salary - $82,000 - $90,000 plus super Only eligible and short-listed candidates will be considered.
