Opportunity We are currently seeking an experienced laboratory technician for our modern export processing facilities.
Reporting To the Laboratory Manager.
This role involves working in a NATA accredited laboratory and offers job security, challenge and variety.
This is an outstanding opportunity for the suitable person to join an expanding progressive red meat / food industry leader, to follow an interesting career path and to further develop their skills in a progressive and ever-changing environment This position is not exclusively Laboratory work and is a hands-on technical role due to the variety of the tasks you will be conducting.
Applicants will be required to conduct on-plant sampling as well as testing and calibration within the Laboratory.
What skill are we looking for?
Preferred applicants will have: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Robust organisational skills Accuracy and attention to detail A strong focus on customer service and quality assurance What experience are we looking for?
Knowledge of NATA standards and industry experience in microbiology analysis of meat and meat by-products will be favourably regarded.




Willing to undertake further training in lab techniques relevant to the red meat industry.
Able to work a rotating weekly roster 4am to Midday,6am to 2pm and 8am to 4pm Availability to work some Saturdays if required Own reliable transport is essential Be vaccinated against the Q-Fever virus or willing to take part in the vaccination process.
