? Performance Engineer | AWS + Gatling | Melbourne I'm currently recruiting for an exciting Performance Engineer opportunity with a high-volume digital organisation in Melbourne.
This is a great chance for a performance engineer who enjoys going beyond simply running tests – getting into how systems behave under load, identifying bottlenecks, improving scalability and helping engineering teams build highly resilient platforms.
? What you'll be doing Design and execute performance and load testing strategies Develop and maintain performance test scripts and tooling Analyse system behaviour across applications, APIs, data and infrastructure Identify performance issues, bottlenecks and scalability risks Work closely with engineering, delivery and operational teams Contribute to capacity planning and usage modelling Support the development of highly scalable, resilient and recoverable systems Help develop performance engineering capability across the wider technology organisation Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines ?️ What we're looking for Essential: Strong commercial experience in Performance Engineering / Performance Testing Hands-on experience with Gatling Strong experience working with AWS / public cloud Experience developing quality code and working with software development practices CI/CD experience,



ideally with Jenkins and/or GitHub Strong Git experience Good understanding of *nix/Linux environments Ability to deep-dive into technical issues and drive resolution 4+ years' experience in performance engineering Nice to have: Python AWS CloudFormation JMeter or other performance testing tools SQL Log analysis / monitoring tools Test automation frameworks ? This isn't a traditional QA role.
You'll have the opportunity to work across the full technology stack, influence how systems are designed for scale, and play a key role in ensuring platforms can handle significant and unpredictable volumes.
