Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS) is seeking a Rehabilitation Registrar to join its Medical Services team for the **** clinical year.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your rehabilitation medicine skills within a small, experienced and highly supportive team , providing personalised training and exposure to a broad range of rehabilitation presentations.
Working under the direction and supervision of a Consultant Rehabilitation Physician , you'll be involved in the assessment, management and ongoing care of patients while developing your clinical, communication and multidisciplinary team skills.
The Opportunity As a Rehabilitation Registrar, you will have the opportunity to: Provide high-quality assessment and management of rehabilitation patients Work closely with an experienced Consultant Rehabilitation Physician Gain broad exposure to regional rehabilitation medicine Develop your clinical assessment and management skills Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and care planning Work collaboratively with nursing, allied health and medical teams Develop leadership and communication skills Participate in regular education, teaching and professional development Build experience within a supportive environment suited to advanced training The smaller team structure provides an opportunity for dedicated, personalised supervision and training , making this an excellent platform for doctors progressing their career in Rehabilitation Medicine.

The position would suit a doctor who is: Currently undertaking Advanced Training with the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM) ; or Planning to commence AFRM Advanced Training upon taking up the position Previous Rehabilitation Medicine experience is desirable, although doctors with a solid interest in pursuing rehabilitation training are encouraged to apply.
