If Litigation is your thing, let's talk.
I have multiple opportunities across Melbourne and I'm looking for Legal Assistants who know their way around a litigation file.
Rather than making you scroll through 15 different job ads, I'm putting the laundry list in one place - because the right role might be sitting with me even if it isn't the one you initially applied for.
CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR: Junior Litigation Legal Assistants looking to build their experience Experienced Legal Assistants supporting busy litigation teams Senior Legal Assistants who can confidently support Partners and Senior Lawyers Legal Assistant with Owners Corporation / Litigation Legal Assistants with Commercial Litigation / Disputes experience Construction Litigation Legal Assistants Property Litigation Legal Assistants Insurance / Professional Indemnity Legal Assistants Debt Recovery / Insolvency Legal Assistants Personal Injury / TAC / WorkCover Legal Assistants Legal Assistants with Court and tribunal experience Legal Assistants who enjoy complex, high-value matters Legal Assistants wanting to move from a large firm into a boutique Legal Assistants wanting to move from boutique into a mid-tier or national firm Experienced LAs looking for more responsibility and career progression Legal Assistants looking for better flexibility and work-life balance And honestly... if you're a excellent Litigation Legal Assistant and you're wondering whether there might be something better out there, I'd like to hear from you.
WHAT YOU COULD BE DOING Depending on the role, you could be supporting Partners, Special Counsel, Senior Associates or broader litigation teams with:
Managing busy diaries, meetings and deadlines Preparing correspondence, court documents and legal documentation File and matter management Court and tribunal filing Preparing briefs, court books and eBriefs Discovery and document management Liaising with clients, barristers, experts and other parties Billing, time recording and WIP management Preparing subpoenas, affidavits and other litigation documentation Assisting with hearings, mediations and conferences Managing competing priorities across multiple matters AND THE IMPORTANT BIT...
These aren't all the same role.
I have opportunities ranging from junior through to senior level, across different practice areas, firm sizes, personalities and working environments.
Some are highly structured.
Some are boutique and hands-on.
Some offer genuine hybrid flexibility.
Some are all about career progression.
Some are about finding a team where you actually enjoy coming to work.
And some are simply about getting away from a role that has stopped being the right fit.
WHY TALK TO ME?
I've been recruiting for 20+ years, and before recruitment I worked in the legal environment myself.
So I understand that finding a great Legal Assistant role isn't just about the job description.
It's about who you're supporting, the type of work, the Partner's personality, the team around you, salary, flexibility, culture and where you want your career to go next.
I listen first.
I don't believe in sending you every job I have just because I have it.
If I have the right role, I'll tell you.
If I don't, I'll go looking for it.
And if you're not actively looking but you're quietly thinking "there has to be something better than this" - that's exactly when I'd like to hear from you.
WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
Tell me: Practice area.
Level.
Salary.
Location.
WFH requirements.
The type of Partner/team you want.
And, just as importantly, what you DON'T want.
I'll do the matching from there.
Confidential conversations are always welcome.
Let's have a chat.
You don't need to be actively looking.
Sometimes it's just worth knowing what's out there.
