Our Mechanical team requires an experienced Motor Mechanic (2), Panel Beater (1), and Vehicle Painter (1) to join our growing vehicle service and repair workshop.
At least 1 to 3 years of relevant experience is required.
Motor Mechanic (2) Full-time (Min. 38hrs) - Salary $ 80,000 to $ 82,000 per annum plus superannuation -General Duties Include - Major Minor Service Repairs - Checking and repairing brakes, gear clutches - Tyres and wheel alignment - Timing belts chains, suspension lifts, engine tuning - Conducting vehicle inspections and test drives to find possible faults or malfunctions - Accurate detection of faults in mechanical parts and vehicle engines using technical testing equipment - Repairing mechanical components, including (but not limited to) transmissions,
engine assemblies and steering mechanisms and completing a thorough inspection of the components.
-Completing required repair work to mechanical components or, where necessary, undertaking the replacement of parts in accordance with relevant service manuals.
-Ensure all parts, labour and materials used are recorded on vehicle job cards -Performance of regular vehicle maintenance services, including replacing vehicle fluids such as oil, engine tune-ups or lubricants, ensuring the vehicles run effectively.
-Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contribute to team effort by working with others to achieve results as needed.
-Deliver outstanding customer service at all times, ensuring a professional and polite manner when communicating with customers.
Skills and Attributes Required: - Vehicle Mechanical Trade Qualification -At least 1 to 3 years of relevant experience is required.
- Advanced mechanical, electrical (preferred but not essential) and diagnostic capabilities -The ability to work autonomously and unsupervised, coupled with a strong work ethic - Previous experience coaching and mentoring apprentices and staff -Tyre fitting, wheel balancing wheel aligning experience -Experience with inventory and stock control -A strong background in scheduling and prioritising of resources and time - Good communication skills in English, Hindi and Punjabi (would be an advantage) Panelbeater (1) - Full-time (Min.
38hrs) - Salary $ 80,000 to $ 95,000 per annum plus superannuation General Duties Include -Repair damaged vehicle panels using appropriate tools and techniques -Remove dents and straighten damaged panels -Replace or repair vehicle body parts, including doors, bonnets, and guards -Carry out welding, filing, and sanding of panels -Ensure structural alignment of vehicle frames and chassis -Use measuring equipment to ensure accuracy of repairs -Work in accordance with safety and workshop procedures -Liaise with spray painters and other workshop staff to ensure smooth workflow -May perform minor painting tasks such as: Priming repaired panels, applying undercoat, Touch-ups and small refinishing jobs Requirements: -Relevant qualification in Automotive Body Repair Technology or equivalent -Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience -Strong attention to detail and workmanship standards -Ability to work independently and as part of a team Vehicle Painter (1) - Full-time (Min. 38hrs)- Salary $ 80,000 to $ 85,000 per annum plus superannuation General Duties Include Key Responsibilities: -Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and priming -Mix and match paint colours to manufacturer specifications -Apply paint using spray guns and other equipment -Carry out finishing tasks, including polishing and buffing -Ensure a high-quality finish and colour consistency -Maintain painting equipment and ensure safe handling of materials -Work collaboratively with panel beaters and workshop staff Requirements: -Relevant qualification in Automotive Refinishing or equivalent -Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience as a Vehicle Painter -Solid knowledge of paint systems and application techniques -High attention to detail and quality standards
