Aspirante is seeking an organised and proactive Project Officer to join the Department of Justice's Queensland Protection Commission ICT Program.
The Queensland Protection Commission is being established in response to In Plain Sight, the review into system responses to child sexual abuse.
It will bring together Blue Card services, disability worker screening, the Reportable Conduct Scheme and Child Secure Standards.
The QPC ICT Program will establish the Commission's technology capability, followed by the delivery of a centralised child safeguarding intelligence hub and a new case management system by February ****.
Working within Information Technology Services, you will provide essential coordination, governance, reporting and assurance support across business-led, ICT-delivered projects supporting significant child safeguarding reform.
The role You will work closely with Program and Project Managers, Business Analysts, governance boards and other stakeholders to: Coordinate governance meetings, including agendas, papers and minutes.
Support monthly project reporting and assurance activities.
Maintain action, decision and other program registers.
Develop and update project documentation and delivery artefacts.
Coordinate workshops involving stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
Manage shared mailboxes,



calendars and general program coordination.
Assist with recruitment, onboarding and other administrative activities.
Support process improvements across the program and portfolio team.
About you You will bring: Previous experience as a Project Officer, or PMO Officer, ideally within an ICT program.
Experience supporting project governance, reporting and assurance activities.
Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
Confidence coordinating meetings, workshops and senior stakeholders.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel, Word and SharePoint skills.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and follow tasks through to completion.
Queensland Government or other large, complex organisational experience will be highly regarded.
The successful candidate will be required to complete relevant criminal history and employment suitability checks.
Contract Period - 07/10/2026 to 29/02/2028.
